The Fat Hamster Wood Shop

The Fat Hamster Wood Shop makes furniture, garden pieces and personalised boards to order. The site needed to show off the craft, explain how commissioning works, and make it easy to ask for a quote.

What I built

  • A single, fast page that walks visitors from "what can you make?" to "get a quote" without getting lost.
  • A filterable gallery of the workshop's main categories, from coffee tables and planters to pergolas and personalised boards.
  • A clear four-step "how it works" section, so customers know what to expect before they get in touch.
  • A local case study and an Instagram feed that show the work in real settings.
  • An enquiry form with a category picker, so each message arrives with the right context.

How SEO was handled

  • Titles, headings and copy that say what the business is and where it is, so it can be found for local searches.
  • Descriptive alt text and image file names on every product photo.
  • Responsive WebP images and a lightweight page for quick loading on mobile.
  • A sitemap and robots file, and shareable social cards.
