Kiln Coffee Roasters

Kiln is an independent coffee roastery and bakery opening in Liverpool. It needed a bold, confident website that gets people through the door: what is on the menu, what beans to take home, and whether the doors are open right now.

What I built

  • A single, tightly composed page in a bold, high-contrast style, with a strong headline, orange accents and real photography.
  • A live opening-hours indicator that works out whether the roastery is open, in London time, and updates itself every minute.
  • A menu split into coffee, bakery and cold drinks, which visitors can filter by vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free, with a running count of items shown.
  • A "beans to take home" section listing each coffee with its origin, roast and tasting notes.
  • A visit section with the address and opening hours, where today is highlighted automatically.
  • Gentle scroll animations that switch off for anyone who prefers reduced motion.

How SEO was handled

  • A page title and description that name the roastery and its Liverpool location.
  • Open Graph and Twitter cards, so links look right when they are shared.
  • Descriptive alt text on every photograph.
  • A single lightweight page with no framework, so it loads quickly on any phone.

Next: La Piccola Gelateria

An Amalfi Coast-inspired gelateria concept, with ceramic details, lemon illustrations and an interactive flavour menu.
