SEO for small businesses in Liverpool

So the people searching for what you do can actually find you. I build search foundations into your website from the start and explain it all in plain English. Ongoing SEO is available with a separately agreed scope.

What's included

  • Keyword and competitor research

Finding the words your customers really search for, and seeing who else shows up when they do.

  • Technical SEO

Site structure, speed, clean code, a sitemap and structured data, so search engines can read your site properly.

  • On-page SEO

Titles, descriptions, headings, content and image text that make each page's purpose clear to people and to Google.

  • Local SEO

Making your services and location clear to people searching in your area.

  • Analytics and Search Console

Google Analytics 4 and Search Console set up properly, with clear and simple reporting.

  • Ongoing improvement

A separately agreed programme of improvements, with clear priorities and reporting.

How I approach it

  1. 1

    Look

I look at how people search for what you do, who else is showing up, and what your site is doing now.

  2. 2

    Fix the foundations

Structure, speed, clean code, a sitemap and structured data, so search engines can read the site properly.

  3. 3

    Say it clearly

Titles, descriptions, headings and content that make each page's purpose obvious.

  4. 4

    Measure and improve

I set up the reporting and explain what it shows. For ongoing SEO, we agree the priorities and scope of future improvements.

Built in, not bolted on

Most SEO gets added after the website is finished. Because I design and build the site myself, search is part of it from the first sketch: the page structure, the wording, the speed and the code all work together.

I do the same on my own site. Every page has its own title, description and structured data, and it scores 100 for SEO in Lighthouse.

Where I've done it

What I did for search on two real client sites.

  • The Fat Hamster Wood Shop

    Bespoke woodworking, Prescot, Merseyside

    • Titles, headings and copy that say what the business is and where it is, so it can be found for local searches.
    • Descriptive alt text and image file names on every product photo.
    • Responsive WebP images and a lightweight page for quick loading on mobile.

  • Fromage & Figue

    Artisan fromagerie & delicatessen, Liverpool

    • Page titles and headings built around the shop and its Liverpool location.
    • Clean, readable URLs for every page and every article.
    • A sitemap and structured data that update automatically when a new article is published.
